I have 2 autistic little boys who have been learning at RightWay ABA. They absolutely love going to school every day! We've gone from completely nonverbal to using phrases and words to communicate. My 6 year old uses alot of phrases, he imitates but he also learns these phrases and then uses them appropriately later on in different conversations! My 3 year old is progressing so amazingly well. He was so difficult to get any reaction from before, like not even any eye contact. I had no idea which video he wanted to watch, he was just kind of in lala land, we called it. Now, he will take my hand or finger and put it on the video he wants. He will take my hand afrr⁷nd bring me to the pantry and choose a food. He says "yes" if I point to something and its the right choice. He looks me in the eye when I'm talking to him!! This beginning of communication is so promising. It gives me faith that we will be advancing through the years and my babies have a chance at growing into fully functioning humans. I hear them playing and counting..counting correctly! My 6 year old can go up past 20, and from 20 backwards again. My 3 year old loves shapes and names a bunch of them randomly. Its amazing. I was so overwhelmed when my youngest was diagnosed as well, but the services RightWay has been providing have given me true hope for their future. These photos are things the boys were never able to do before. RightWay has allowed us to expand their world, by teaching them how to behave and exist in places that once were too overwhelming.

My daughter started ABA services about a month ago and receives therapy at the one of the centers RightWay ABA partners with, We Rock the Spectrum in Paramus. I must say, I am truly impressed with this company. The application process was smooth and quick, and I love how on top of everything they are. What really stood out to me is that they don’t assign therapists based solely on availability—they take the time to find a therapist who is the right fit for your child. From the moment I met Kristine, she gave me a sense of reassurance. I am very overprotective of my daughter, but she made me feel confident that my child was in good hands. My daughter’s first therapist was Carmela, who was amazing. Due to personal reasons, we had to transition to another therapist, Melissa, who is her current therapist—and she is just as wonderful. I truly appreciate that Melissa takes photos throughout my daughter’s sessions and sends detailed notes about everything they worked on. She keeps me very involved, which I love. She listens to my concerns and values my input regarding my daughter’s development. I am a DI practitioner in the Early Intervention Program, and observing from an outside perspective, this is truly quality therapy. I also want to acknowledge my daughter’s BCBA, Koko. I appreciate her involvement and support. I know families whose children receive ABA services where the BCBA is rarely present, so I value that Koko provides guidance weekly to support the therapist and sessions. She also listens to my concerns and actively working on meaningful goals for my daughter. Overall, I am extremely pleased with RightWay ABA. I have already recommended this company to families I work with, and one of them has already started the intake process. She was also amazed by how quickly everything moved and how consistently the team checked in with her throughout the process. So if you’re looking for ABA services, do it the Rightway! ❤️❤️

Our ABA therapy services in New Jersey

A full continuum of ABA care, built around your child

Every program is BCBA-designed and delivered 1:1, built around your child’s individual needs. Not a standardized model we hand to every family who walks through the door.

Center-based ABA therapy

Sensory-friendly centers with structured programming, peer interaction, and full BCBA oversight. A typical classroom feel, with room to move throughout the day. The kind of place we'd want for our own kids.

In-home ABA therapy

Your child's therapist comes to you, so skills are built in the environment where they actually live. Available across every New Jersey county we serve.

Assessment & treatment planning

A BCBA assessment with goals set alongside your family, specific, measurable, and meaningful. Reviewed and adjusted as your child grows, so the plan never goes stale.

Family support & caregiver training

You're part of the clinical team, not a bystander. We give you the tools and the coaching to reinforce progress at home, because the best outcomes happen when families are involved.

Coordinated care & school collaboration

We talk to your child's teachers, speech therapists, OTs, and pediatrician, and we'll join the IEP call. One circle of communication, so progress carries across every setting.

Understanding ABA

What is ABA therapy, and how does it actually help your child?

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy is an evidence-based social science. It targets socially significant behaviors, the skills that genuinely improve a child’s daily life, and the methods used can include play-based models depending on what your child needs.

If you’ve heard ABA is rigid or all about compliance, that’s an old picture. Modern ABA is individualized and child-focused, and it draws on newer approaches like acceptance and commitment therapy. Your child isn’t fitted into a template.

"ABA today is a plan built around your child and your child's needs. Your priorities become our priorities on the treatment plan."

At RightWay ABA, every program is designed by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and delivered 1:1, with goals chosen alongside your family and focused on what matters in your daily life, not just clinical metrics.

How it works

From your first call to your first session, without the maze

We handle the insurance verification, the scheduling, and the onboarding, so you can focus on your child. We’ll walk you through each step and never leave you guessing what’s next.

Step 01

A real conversation

A clinician reaches back, not to pitch you, but to understand your family and answer every question you have. Take all the time you need.

Step 02

Insurance verification

We verify your ABA benefits and walk you through exactly what’s covered before you make any decisions or commitments.

Step 03

Assessment & individualized plan

Your BCBA completes a full assessment and builds a treatment plan with your family. Goals that are specific, functional, and meaningful to your life.

Step 04

Therapy begins

Sessions start at your chosen center or in your home. Your dedicated team stays consistent, and we review progress together as your child grows.

Our standards

The kind of ABA therapy we'd want for our own children

This isn’t a marketing line. Several of us have a child, a cousin, or a family member on the spectrum. We built RightWay ABA because we knew care could be done better, and these are the standards we hold ourselves to with every family.
Insurance

Insurance-covered ABA therapy in New Jersey

New Jersey state law requires most insurance plans to cover ABA therapy for children diagnosed with autism, and NJ FamilyCare/Medicaid covers it too. RightWay is in-network with most major NJ plans, and we handle the verification and authorization process. You focus on your child. We handle the paperwork.

Frequently asked questions

Common questions from families across New Jersey. Don’t see yours? Just ask us.

What counties does RightWay ABA serve in New Jersey?

We provide in-home and center-based ABA therapy across Bergen, Passaic, Essex, Hudson, Monmouth, and Middlesex Counties. In-home services are available throughout each of these counties.

Both. We offer center-based ABA at our sensory-friendly locations and in-home ABA where your child’s therapist comes to you. Many families use a combination, depending on their child’s goals and schedule.

We’re in-network with most major NJ plans, including Horizon BCBS, Aetna, and Wellpoint, and we accept NJ FamilyCare/Medicaid. We verify your benefits and handle the authorization process for you.

Insurance generally requires an autism diagnosis to cover ABA therapy. If your child hasn’t been evaluated yet, we can help point you toward the right next step.

Yes. Our BCBAs provide in-person oversight and are in the room with your child’s team regularly, unlike agencies that rely on fully remote supervision. Most of our sessions are delivered in person.

That’s an outdated picture. The field has changed significantly. Modern ABA is individualized and child-led, and we draw on newer approaches like acceptance and commitment therapy. Your child’s plan is built around goals that are socially meaningful for your family.
